The developers of Naga have released a paid service where you can have Naga review your games. Let's go over it!
You can find the information page (in Japanese) here. The purchase page is here.
There are three tiers of pricing. Each replay review costs 50NP.
- Gold Tier - 550 Yen per month, 500NP (10 reviews) per month
- Platinum Tier - 1100 Yen per month, 1500NP (30 reviews) per month
- Diamond Tier - 2200 Yen per month, 5000NP (100 reviews) per month
The NP doesn't carry over between months. If you have excess near the end of the month, consider asking in the Riichi Discord whether anyone has any replays they want to review to use it up.
Once you've paid, you can use the same page to request the replay reviews by posting a link to the Tenhou replay. There are a few restrictions on the games.
- The game must be played in ranked, a tournament, or a private lobby.
- The format must be four player hanchan (east-south).
- Aka dora must be enabled.
- Kuitan (open tanyao) must be enabled.
Once you've submitted a replay and it processes it, you'll be given a link to a webpage with all the review content on the report list. If you want to see an example, Micco shared this review. It's in Japanese, so here's a translation.
Click on the image to make it larger. The snake has various thoughts. In general, they follow this tier:
- [Tile]かな? - Lowest level of error ([Tile] maybe?)
- [Tile]かな~ - Still low ([Tile] maybe~)
- [Tile]がいいかも - Middling error ([Tile] is good, probably)
- [Tile]を選びたい!- Large error (I want to choose [tile]!)
There might be others, but those are what show up in this replay.
Naga is of course quite solid, but for low level players, Akochan is likely sufficient. Here is an example review of a Tokujou game.
